Nothing special;
M plans to make a south India payasam and then we go to a friends for Ganapati puja;
then on Saturday to the marathi mandal Ganapati! :-))

heh, yeah, whenever you have the time, update us on the Niagara Falls!

This time the festival is coming on a weekday, so cant visit my brother and celebrate along with his family. However, I might end up making some festive dishes at home and visit the temple here. :)

Oh no, no fasting on Ganesh Chaturthi day. And I have to remember not to see Mr.Moon. Last year I saw and landed in a little trouble. LOL!

Yayyy!! it's my first shri ganesh chaturthi in Mumbai. I (and maybe some office friends) will go around visiting the various mandals :)))))
I so want to witness a visarjan but they say its very crowded

Do visit the major mandals at "Lalbaug cha Raja" and also the one at Ganesh Gulli
and for an authentic Ganapati, visit the GSB Seva Mandal Ganapati at Sion! Its on for only five days!

and for a homely ganapati, visit our home in Colaba! Just walk up and say you are Arun's friend! It is mela in the house for five days. If you can make it, send me mail and I will give you the address.

And I agree about the visarjan - go to Chowpatty on Day five; the crowds will be much less but you will get the experience; And remembering your pics from Goa, I think you will be able to handle the crowds and hold your own! :-))

Yes, in our home in mumbai it's a major festival for five days! and definitely everyones favorite.
As kids, school homework was "maaF" during Ganapati! :-))
