I suppose militarism and imperialism are organic offshoots of captalism . As an (A)narcho-Pacifist , I support decentralization and federation , common ownership and democratic control of production , distribution and exchange . I like Gandhiji's concept of India as a nation of village republics .

Gandhiji's was a good concept; but how do we improve infant mortality, provide cleaning running water to ALL our inhabitants, good education, roads and jobs aligned with the highest education that our students can attain?
Its a long road ahead.

How about returning to the Socialist vision of Pandit Nehru and the other idealistic men and women who founded modern India ? All this drivel about globalization and Postmodernism is just a rationalization for ruthless , worldwide , capitalist exploitation through private ownership of social production .
The contradictions are summed up by the outrageous eviction of the family of one of the kids in "Slumdog Millionaires".

PS I greatly admire the social responsibility of your excellent family firm and its magnificent provision of high quality education for kids . I was referring to the big multinational corporations in their quest for cheap , non-unionized labour . One of the most despicable companies expoiting the developing world is the Swiss firm of Nestlé -

I don't know which doctor to believe in anymore. All of them have these strange commercial alliances. It's pathetic in India now.

I hear that the situation in mumbai is very blatant! yikes!
Politicians need to be fixing that, but it is likely not even on their radar.
